As-salamun alaykum….. As we all go through this difficult , painful and unexpected pandemic which has jolted the world and halted celebrations and festivities that we look forward to every year, let’s throw some light on upcoming Muharram month in context of “New normal”. It was just a few months ago that people were queuing up outside oxygen factories to fill up their cylinders , running from one hospital to another in search of bed and treatment for their loved and dear ones. NGOs, oxygen langars and social servants were appearing as life saviours . We started depending on other countries for emergency medical aid. Indian Air force, Navy went all out to get supplies so that people of India can BREATH…
The second wave clearly showed us that the virus had come so close to us…. We all have lost our near and dear ones and are still trying to recover from this loss…The leading medical research team of the country is saying clearly that THE THIRD WAVE IS INEVITABLE…
And yet, people are without masks, they have zero discipline to avoid further contamination. VACCINES ARE NO SOLUTION, IT IS JUST A PRECAUTIONARY MEASURE TO AVOID MORTALITIES. And then when things go out of hand because we follow zero pandemic guidelines issued by health officials, we say that the medical system has collapsed. Why can’t we as citizens stay home? Why can’t we read up on google about other pandemics, why can’t we be sensitive and responsible? WHY ???
THOSE WHO HAVE SURVIVED THIS WAVE ARE STILL TAKING IT AS A JOKE.. ASK THEM WHO HAVE LOST THEIR NEAR AND DEAR ONES… HAVE SEEN SO MANY FAMILIES SHATTERING… REALLY SCARY…
The sacred month of muharram approaches, and with it, commemorations marking the anniversary of the tragedy of Karbala. Yet, we still find ourselves in the midst of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Last year we all attended online Azadari (majlis). Many of us had turned a corner of our houses into a sacred place with flags and banners commemorating the martyrdom. Despite virus threat, thousands take out muharram procession at many places. Though this year many of us are vaccinated and many of us have been exposed to this coronavirus, we can’t take things lightly. The situation is not good, but under control. The spurt in covid – 19 cases was due to carelessness among people, who had started taking the situation lightly.
At last, I want to conclude that we can easily stop the spread by following COVID appropriate behavior. Take all of the necessary preventive precautions and treatment based on what are determined by the medical experts while staying away from unscientific methods. Work hard in this muharram to educate others of the dangers of belittling the virus and encourage them to adhere to and not to ignore the directions of the authorities and medical experts on this matter. As a responsible Azadar we must encourage everyone to get vaccinated against COVID-19 before the holy month of muharram begins. May Allah(swt) grant success to everyone in the revival of this important occasion and the mourning ceremony for the master of the youth of paradise Imam Hussain A.S (PBUH) relative to what the current circumstances allow, for He (Almighty) is the guardian of success.
MAY ALLAH(SWT) PROTECT US FROM ALL HARMS AND TRIBULATIONS… AAMEEN
