Fasting (1 of the 5 pillars of Islam) in this month is one’s way to display their devotion to Allah (SWT) by refraining from food and drink and other worldly pleasures. It is mandatory for every Muslim adult to fast except for those who r in the family way, Sick and Wounded. It is also obligatory to eat at suhoor (sehri) before Fajr Prayer and Break the fast (with dates, salt or water) during the Maghrib prayer.
